District magistrate M Ankit Yadav Chairs North Goa Road Safety Meet, Focus on Enforcement and Infrastructure
Panaji: The North Goa District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) meeting was chaired today by Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, District Magistrate (North Goa). Mr. Jeremias B. C. Fernandes and team were felicitated for securing 1st place in the “Reels 2 Road – Road Safety Reels Competition” along with a demand draft of Rs 10, 000 by the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety, IIT Madras .
Key focus areas included the District Road Safety Action Plan, enforcement against modified silencers, removal of stray cattle from National Highways, beach road safety signages, deployment of patrolling vehicles, improvement of KTC bus stands, and timely construction of speed breakers and pothole repairs.
All stakeholder departments reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing road safety and ensuring safer roads across North Goa.
