Accountancy Museum Inaugurated at Purushottom Walawalkar Higher Secondary School
Mapusa Saraswat Education Society’s Purushottom Walawalkar Higher Secondary School, Khorlim, Mapusa inaugurated its Accountancy Museum on 31st July, 2026 in the Commerce section of the school followed by the formal function.
This inauguration marked a historic milestone as Purushottom Walawalkar Higher Secondary School became the first higher secondary school in Goa to establish the Accountancy Museum, providing a unique platform to the students to explore the evolution, principles and practical applications of accounting.
The event was graced with the presence of the CA Shri Vinayak V. Dhumatkar – Chairman ICAI Goa Branch (WIRC) as the Chief Guest, CA Shri Vishwanath Bhobe – Immediate Past Chairman ICAI Goa Branch (WIRC) as special invitee, Shri Rupesh Kamat – Chairman of Saraswat Education Society, Amogh Parrikar – Treasurer of Saraswat Education Society, Shri Pradip Joshi – Manager of Purushottom Walawalkar Higher Secondary School, Smt Kirti Sawkar- Principal and Shri Anant Pissurlekar – Faculty Incharge of Commerce stream.
The chief guest in his address appreciated the school for this prestigious initiative and encouraged students to pursue a career in accountancy with integrity and professionalism.
