Siolim: Assagao athlete Gourish Gaonkar secured the second place in the Men’s Shot Put (7.26kg) event with a best throw of 9.90 metres at the 57th Goa State Athletics Championship 2026. His performance was marked by dedication and discipline, earning him a podium finish and bringing pride to his village and the state.
