CM Sawant Reviews Preparations For ‘Nashamukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat’ Campaign Launch
Panaji — Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant virtually chaired a review meeting on Friday with all concerned Heads of Departments and stakeholders to take stock of preparations for the State Launch of the “Nashamukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat – Sankalp Abhiyan.”The meeting focused on ensuring seamless coordination between departments for the rollout of the campaign, which aims to make Goa’s youth drug-free and contribute to a developed India. Dr. Sawant directed officials to finalize arrangements, strengthen awareness drives in schools, colleges and panchayats, and ensure maximum participation of youth and community groups. He stressed the need for inter-departmental synergy so that the message of Nashamukt Bharat reaches every corner of the state effectively.Heads of Departments from Health, Education, Social Welfare, Sports, Police and other key agencies briefed the Chief Minister on their action plans, IEC activities and ground-level mobilisation. Stakeholders also shared inputs on outreach strategies and de-addiction support mechanisms to be rolled out under the abhiyan.The Nashamukt Yuva For Viksit Bharat – Sankalp Abhiyan is a nationwide initiative to mobilize young people against substance abuse and promote a healthy, productive lifestyle aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat. The state-level launch in Goa is expected to witness participation from students, NGOs, and government departments.
