Traffic Cell to Train School Wardens as Part of Mapusa Student Safety Initiative
Mapusa MLA Held a meeting with the Mapusa Traffic Cell along with representatives from schools, colleges, and Higher Secondary Schools to discuss student safety and traffic management during peak hours. The meeting was attended by Traffic PI Marlene D’Souza and Traffic DYSP Sudesh Narvekar, where important points were discussed to ensure smoother movement and safer surroundings for students.
The discussion focused on managing the rush during school dispersal timings, especially when students from different institutions leave at the same time. The role of PTA members, teachers, student volunteers, and traffic wardens was discussed to improve coordination and ensure better traffic management. Training sessions by the Traffic Cell for traffic wardens from each institution were also discussed.
