CM Sawant Commissions Amthane Pump House, Major Pipelines to Boost North Goa Water Supply
Ponda: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant commissioned the Amthane Pump House and the 1200 mm and 1000 mm D.I. pipelines at the New Pumping Station, Amthane Dam. The project, is undertaken by the Water Resources Department, aims to ensure a dedicated and reliable supply of raw water to the Water Treatment Plants at Assonora, Porvorim, Pilerne, and Assagao, thereby strengthening water security in the region.
Minister for Water Resources,Subhash Shirodkar, Minister for Fisheries, Shri Nilkant Halarnkar, Minister for Tourism,Rohan Khaunte, MLA Bicholim, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department (WRD) Dnyaneshwar Salelkar, and other dignitaries were present at the commissioning ceremony.
