Goa expecting strong charter season, tourists from new markets: Minister Khaunte
PANAJI: (Jul 27) Goa is expecting a strong international charter season in 2026-27 with flights from traditional source markets such as UK, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Poland, while efforts are underway to attract tourists from newer destinations like Belarus, Armenia, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan, state tourism minister Rohan Khaunte said on Monday.
Charter operations are scheduled to begin after the monsoon in October and continue till April next year, he said.
“The strong response from international charter operators reflects growing global confidence in Goa as a high-quality, year-round tourism destination,” Khaunte said.
