PENALTY DRAMA AT BORIMOL: UNITED BROTHERS LIFT ALL GOA ADVOCATES FOOTBALL TROPHY
Quepem: United Brothers, owned by Adv. Pankaj Dabholkar, claimed victory in the All Goa Advocates 9-A-Side Football Tournament, defeating Strikers in a dramatic penalty shootout at the SAG Ground, Borimol, Quepem. The two-day sporting competition was hosted by the United Goan Advocates Association under the leadership of Adv. Vinay Patkar.
The championship clash delivered continuous action as both sides played high-tempo offensive football. After a 2 to 2 deadlock in regulation time, boosted by a late equalizer from United Brothers’ Alphy D’Souza, the title came down to spot-kicks, where United Brothers kept their cool to seal the win.


Tournament debutants Pernem made an immediate impact under captain Adv. Ronit Naik, captivating the audience with an adventurous, bold brand of football. Meanwhile, Prosecutors FC earned high regard across the venue for their outstanding discipline, unity, and fair play throughout the competition.
Individual achievements were dominated by the champion squad, with Shivam Kalangutkar taking home the Golden Glove as the tournament’s top goalkeeper. Alphy D’Souza bagged the Golden Boot as highest scorer, cemented by his game-saving goal in the final match.
The celebration reached its peak when Adv. Vinayak “Mama” Porob hoisted the championship trophy for United Brothers to roaring applause from teammates and fans, concluding a spirited tournament focused on health, camaraderie, and solidarity within the Goan legal community.
