Porvorim Block Congress Committee Holds Plant Distribution Drive at Socorro.
The Porvorim Block Congress Committee, in association with the Porvorim Youth Congress Committee, organised a Plant Distribution Drive at Socorro on Saturday morning as part of its environmental awareness initiative. Free saplings were distributed to residents and members of the public with the aim of encouraging tree plantation and promoting a greener, healthier Porvorim. The organisers appealed to citizens to actively participate in protecting the environment by planting and nurturing trees.
The programme was led by Porvorim Block Congress Committee President Anil Pednekar and was supported by Vikas Prabhudesai, President of the Porvorim Welfare Foundation. They urged people to take collective responsibility for increasing green cover and preserving nature for future generations.
The event witnessed participation from local Congress workers, Youth Congress members, and residents, who welcomed the initiative and pledged to contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment.
