Hyderabad Police crack down on QNET pyramid scheme fraud; five held from Goa resort

Panaji: The Hyderabad Police on Thursday said it arrested five persons from a resort in Goa for being associated with QNET, a company allegedly engaged in illegal multi-level marketing, money-circulation and pyramid scheme.

The accused, all natives of Kerala, were apprehended while attending a company event following a complaint of a multi-lakh fraud, leading to the seizure of three luxury vehicles and key digital evidence, a release from Hyderabad Police said.

On July 16, the complainant stated that while searching for gym space in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, he was contacted through a social media platform by one of the accused, who lured him to Bengaluru on July 9 under the pretext of offering a lucrative business opportunity.
