Mapusa : Morning traffic and power supply were disrupted at Cuchelim Junction on after a coconut tree collapsed onto both the road and an electrical line at 08:56 HRS.The incident blocked a key stretch and raised safety concerns for commuters and residents in the area.A fire tender from Mapusa Fire Station rushed to the spot under Shri Ranjit Gaonkar, Leading Firefighter. The team cut and cleared the tree, and coordinated with electricity department staff to make the power line safe. No injuries were reported. Traffic was restored and the road was cleared within .Officials said strong monsoon winds may have caused the fall and urged residents to report overhanging trees near roads and lines before monsoon.
