PANAJI: In a solemn gesture, Governor of Goa Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju visited to pay tribute to Late Jennifer Monserrate, the sitting MLA of Taleigao.
The Governor met members of the bereaved family and expressed solidarity in their grief, acknowledging Monserrate’s years of service as both legislator and former minister.Remembering her as a leader who stayed close to ground realities, he noted that her approach to governance was rooted in direct engagement with residents and prompt redressal of local issues. “She was accessible, she listened, and she worked for Taleigao with commitment,” the Governor observed while speaking to those gathered
.Dignitaries, party workers and residents joined to offer prayers. Monserrate, who represented Taleigao and earlier served in the state cabinet, passed away on following a prolonged illness. Concluding his visit, the Governor prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and fortitude for the family.
