Roadside Cross at Lingabhat Shifted Back to Facilitate Parra–Nagoa Road Widening
Calangute : The work of shifting the roadside Cross at Lingabhat by approximately 8 metres to facilitate the widening of the Parra–Nagoa road is now almost complete.The relocation was undertaken to create a wider and safer road for commuters while ensuring that the religious sentiments of the local community were respected and preserved.
calangute MLA Michael lobo said the move is part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure in the area and reduce congestion on the busy stretch. The initiative has been welcomed by locals, who appreciated the balanced approach of accommodating developmental needs without hurting faith and tradition
With the shifting work nearing completion, the road widening project is expected to gain further momentum in the coming weeks.
