Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho Inaugurates Andfinity Sports Arena at St. Andrew’s HSS, Vaddem
Vasco: Panchayat Minister, Shri. Mauvin Godinho inaugurated the Andfinity Sports Arena at St. Andrew’s Higher Secondary School, Vaddem, in the presence of His Eminence Most Rev. Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, MLA of Vasco, Shri Krishna Daji Salkar, and other distinguished dignitaries.
The state-of-the-art sports arena, comprising a futsal ground, pickleball, table tennis, chess, carrom, pool, and other recreational facilities.The newly inaugurated state-of-the-art sports arena is aimed at promoting fitness, teamwork and sporting talent among students and the wider community. Speaking at the event, Mauvin Godinho commended the school management for creating world-class infrastructure for students. He said such initiatives will help young people stay engaged in healthy activities and build discipline, focus and sportsmanship. The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting schools and panchayats in developing sports infrastructure across Goa.
His Eminence Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão blessed the facility and spoke about the importance of balancing academics with sports and values. He noted that arenas like this provide a platform for holistic development of students.Shri Krishna Daji Salkar, MLA Vasco, said the Andfinity Arena will serve not just the students of St. Andrew’s but also aspiring sportspersons from Vasco and nearby areas.He added that access to modern facilities will encourage more youth to take up sports professionally.The school management expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and said the arena will be open for structured training, inter-school tournaments and community engagement programs.
