North Goa DLC Approves 34 Forest Rights Claims from Nanoda & Pansulim
Panaji : The District Level Committee [DLC], North Goa met under the chairmanship of Collector North Goa, Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, to scrutinize claims filed under the Forest Rights Act, 2006. A total of 62 claims from the villages of Nanoda and Pansulim were taken up for consideration during the meeting.


According to the Committee, 34 claims were approved, while 16 claims were rejected. 2 claimants have been called for a personal hearing, and 10 claims have been reverted to the Sub-Divisional Level Committee [SDLC] for further clarification and verification. Officials said the process is part of the ongoing exercise to settle individual and community forest rights in North Goa, ensuring eligible tribal and other traditional forest-dwelling families receive due recognition under the Act.
