Mapusa Fire Services Respond to Two Tree-Fall Incidents in Pirna & Guirim

Mapusa : Mapusa Fire Services were kept busy on Saturday, 5th July 2026 after responding to two separate tree-fall incidents in Bardez within minutes of each other. According to fire service logs, the first call came in at 10:22 HRS. A jumbul tree had fallen on a compound wall near the Ganpati Temple at Tanodi Wada, Pirna. Fire personnel reached the spot promptly and worked to clear the debris to ensure public safety around the temple area. Barely 16 minutes later, at 10:38 HRS, a second alert was received. A large tree fell on a house near Tokuli Junction / Ganapati Visarjan Place in Aradi, Guirim. Fire Services again rushed to the location to attend to the situation and prevent further damage. No casualties were reported in either incident. Officials said the quick response helped secure both sites and clear obstructions for residents. With monsoon winds picking up, authorities have urged residents to report any signs of unstable trees near homes and public spaces without delay.
