Last Span Mounted on Porvorim Flyover, Corridor Now Fully Connected: Minister Khaunte”
The Tourism minister, Mr Rohan Khaunte revealed that on Saturday last span was mounted on the Porvorim allevated corridor and popularly known as Porvorim fly-over and connected both ends.
Addressing the media, Mr Khaunte said that today we successfully launched the last segment which connected both the spans.
He said Porvorim people had to face lots of inconvenience and suffer a lot due to constant road diversions for the last 2-years.
“We managed to complete the work within the stipulated time despite facing space crunch on both the sides, but they have still time till August” he added.
“We managed to achieve this feat due cooperation from the team of engineers connected to the departments concerned, ” he added.
He also praised the. Sarpanchas of the village panchayat of Penha de Franca and Socorro.
In the end he said travellers from Porvorim, Saligao costituency, Mapusa and those who use this Elevated corridor including tourists.
