Fake Call Centre Busted at Anjuna Resort; 15 Held, ₹25L Gear Seized

Panaji: : The police busted a fake call centre at a resort at Grand Chivar at Anjuna and arrested 15 persons in this regard. they were produced before the JMFC and were remanded to 6 day police custody. On 29.06.2026, acting on credible information that a fake call centre was operating from a resort at Grand Chivar, Anjuna, Bardez, Goa, the Anjuna Police conducted a surprised raid at the premises During the raid, 15 accused were found operating the fake call centre. Police seized 15 laptops, mobile phones, routers, and other electronic gadgets, collectively valued at approximately ₹25 lakh.

In this connection, Anjuna Police Station Crime No. 61/2026 has been registered under Sections 319, 318(4) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 66C and 66D of the Information Technology Act. All 15 accused were produced before the JMFC Court and have been remanded to six days’ police custody.
