Police arrest drug peddler with contraband in central Delhi

NEW DELHI: (Jun 26) Delhi Police has arrested a 35-year-old alleged drug peddler and seized 150 Avil injections, 35 narcotic tablets and 231 syringes from his possession in central Delhi’s Nabi Karim area, officials said on Saturday.

Sonu Sodhi, a resident of Nabi Karim, was arrested on June 23, following a tip-off about a man allegedly carrying injections, syringes and tablets for sale in Chinot Basti, police said.

A police team laid a trap and apprehended the accused while he was carrying a blue polythene bag, the officials said.
