AAP writes to Goa CM seeking waiver of ‘inflated’ electricity bills, threatens protests
PANAJI: (Jun 22) The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday demanded a complete waiver of all “high electricity bills” issued till June 15 in Goa, along with refunds for consumers, and threatened to launch statewide protests if the government fails to act by July 31.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, AAP Goa president Valmiki Naik reiterated the demands raised earlier by the party’s national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal and sought immediate relief for consumers allegedly burdened by exorbitant power bills.

Naik demanded that all high electricity bills issued over the past several months be waived and that consumers who have already paid receive full refunds.
