CALANGUTE – SIM BOYS, Arpora advanced to the semifinals of Santamaria Cup 2026 with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Camotim, Candolim on Wednesday.The Arpora side found the breakthrough when Veron latched onto a through ball and slotted home the lone goal, proving the difference on the day. Camotim, reduced to 10 men after Jose was sent off for a red card, struggled to break down SIM Boys’ compact defence despite pushing for an equalizer in the dying minutes.
SIM Boys sat deep and soaked up pressure, hitting on the counter with quick transitions. Paresh and Paresh Azgaonkar were booked with yellow cards for tactical fouls as Arpora held firm to keep a clean sheet.
