Police busts LPG refilling, black-marketing racket in West Delhi

NEW DELHI: (Jun 16) The Delhi Police has unearthed an illegal LPG refilling and black-marketing racket operating in west Delhi’s Moti Nagar area, an official said on Tuesday.

Police have identified a man, Shankar (40), allegedly involved in the activity. The accused is a resident of Nihal Vihar, and was found to be illegally extracting and refilling subsidised domestic LPG cylinders for unauthorised commercial gain.

Police said the action was initiated on a complaint that domestic LPG cylinders meant for household use were being illegally emptied and refilled for commercial purposes in the Sudarshan Park area, located adjacent to Moti Nagar.
