Fire department plans e-learning hub for firefighters and volunteers
June 15 – Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services has floated a tender worth ₹12.68 lakh for the creation of an online fire safety training module aimed at strengthening training and capacity-building across the department. The proposed web-based platform will provide e-learning, training management and certification services for fire personnel, volunteers and external agencies. The system will include digital training records, attendance tracking, scheduling tools, analytical dashboards and nine core fire safety curricula covering topics such as fire classification, evacuation protocols, electrical and kitchen safety, road accident response and disaster preparedness. The platform will also feature online assessments and automated digital certificate generation.
