Goa govt to screen 3 lakh people for fatty liver disease

PANAJI: (Jun 14) The Goa government has partnered with a pharmaceutical company for early screening and prevention of fatty liver disease, aiming to cover three lakh people across the coastal state over the next three years, officials said.

The initiative, ‘Liver Forever’, was launched on Saturday in partnership with Zydus Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zydus Lifesciences Ltd, they said.

The programme is dedicated to the early screening and prevention of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease and Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis, they said
