Artist  Creates Paper-Plate Rangoli to Mark World Environment Day 2026

Amona, Amaravati: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, a unique paper-plate rangoli was created at Amaravati, Amona, Goa to spread awareness on environmental conservation among the public.

The rangoli, crafted entirely using recycled paper plates, carried a message highlighting the importance of protecting nature, reducing waste, and adopting sustainable practices. The artwork aimed to engage citizens visually and remind them of their role in keeping Goa green and clean. The artist shared clips of the rangoli to reach maximum Goan people through social media hoping the initiative inspires more community-driven awareness efforts. World Environment Day was observed across Goa on June 5 with plantation drives, clean-up campaigns, and awareness programs. Art-based initiatives like this rangoli add a creative dimension to the state’s green movement.
