Kejriwal flays mega housing project in Goa; says BJP supporting builder lobbies, corporate groups
Panaji : (June 1 ) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday joined the ongoing protest against a proposed mega housing project in North Goa and slammed the ruling BJP for bringing “destructive” initiatives that are against the state’s interests.
According to AAP, the proposed development near Sankhali covers around 130 acres and envisages more than 1,700 residential plots and villas along with a man-made white sand beach.
Questioning the scale of the project, Kejriwal said it would bring an estimated 8,000-10,000 people into a village whose existing population is around 6,500.
