Short Circuit in Arpora Villa: Mapusa Fire Brigade Averts Major Mishap

Calangute, May 25, 2026 — A potential fire mishap was averted on Monday afternoon after the Mapusa Fire Station responded swiftly to a short circuit reported in a villa near Radisson Resort Goa Baga, Arpora. The incident was reported at 12:51 PM. A fire team from Mapusa, led by Leading Firefighter Shri Suraj S. Shetgaonkar, rushed to the site and brought the situation under control before the electrical fault could escalate.

No casualties or major property damage were reported. Fire officials confirmed that timely intervention prevented the short circuit from spreading to other parts of the villa.
