Bicholim Woman Murdered, Police Hunt Sawantwadi Youth
Bicholim: A 55-year-old woman was allegedly murdered inside her house at Chikane-Kudnem in Bicholim on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Shaila Sanjay Ghadi. Police are searching for a youth from Sawantwadi, Maharashtra, who was reportedly known to the family. According to reports, an argument allegedly broke out between the accused and the woman, during which he is suspected to have assaulted her, leading to her death. Police said the accused allegedly fled with the victim’s mobile phone and gold chain. He later reportedly used the same phone to contact the woman’s daughters and inform them about the incident. Bicholim Police have registered a murder case. A forensic team and dog squad were deployed at the spot, and further investigation is underway.
