Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho Inaugurates Dabolim Musical Waves 2026 at Chicalim:

Vasco: Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho on Friday inaugurated the two-day ‘Dabolim Musical Waves 2026’ festival at Joggers Park, Chicalim, in the presence of Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, local councillors, panch members, and other dignitaries.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Godinho said the festival aims to promote local talent and position Dabolim-Chicalim as a cultural hub in South Goa.

He stressed that such events create community engagement while boosting local tourism and the economy.Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte highlighted the state government’s focus on ‘festival tourism’ beyond beaches, noting that Dabolim Musical Waves will showcase Goan music, art, and cuisine to both residents and visitors. The two-day fest features performances by local bands, folk artists, and youth groups, along with food stalls and craft displays.

Organizers expect large footfalls from Vasco, Dabolim, and adjoining areas over the weekend. The event is part of ongoing efforts to decentralize cultural activities and provide a platform for artists from the Mormugao taluka.
