DRY GRASS FIRE NEAR BODGESHWAR TEMPLE DOUSED BY MAPUSA FIRE TEAM

Mapusa: Dry grass near Bodgeshwar temple at Bodginim, Mapusa caught fire at around 12:56 pm on saturday .Fire personnel from Mapusa Fire Station, led by Leading Fire Fighter Shri Shahid Khan, rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control before they could spread to nearby areas. No damage to property or injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is suspected to be the prevailing summer heat. Fire officials have urged citizens to avoid burning waste in open areas during dry weather.
