RAMAKRISHNA MISSION’S GOA CENTRE TAKES ROOT AFTER CM SAWANT INAUGRATES MATH
PONDA: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the Ramakrishna Mission Goa Centre at Khandepar, marking a significant step towards establishing a permanent spiritual and service-oriented hub of the Mission in the state.The ceremony was held in the presence of the Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Most Revered Swami Suhitananda Ji Maharaj.
Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.Speaking after laying the foundation stone, Dr. Sawant said the centre would further the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhansa in Goa, focusing on spiritual growth, education, and community service.
He assured full support from the state government for the project.Swami Suhitananda Ji Maharaj blessed the gathering and highlighted the Ramakrishna Mission’s commitment to man-making and character-building education, healthcare, and rural development across India.
The proposed Goa Centre at Khandepar is expected to carry out spiritual, cultural, and philanthropic activities in line with the Mission’s objectives. Monks and devotees from various parts of Goa attended the ceremony.
