PM Modi foiled ‘invasion’ bid by Bangladeshi infiltrators in West Bengal: Goa CM
PANAJI: (May 6) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi foiled Bangladeshi infiltrators’ attempts to invade West Bengal by ensuring BJP’s victory in the assembly polls in that state.
Addressing a public meeting at Vasco, Sawant said it was PM Modi who undertook the task of pushing back the Bangladeshi infiltrators.
He recalled that it is due to the efforts of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder president of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) that West Bengal remained with India during the creation of Bangladesh.
