PADMA SHRI LIBIA LOBO SARDESAI INAUGURATES ‘ABHIJIT SANZ’ AT IMB PANAJI

PANAJI: Padma Shri and veteran Goa freedom fighter Smt. Libia Lobo Sardesai inaugurated Abhijit Sanz, a musical programme based on the poems of late freedom fighter and Padma Shri Vaman Sardesai, at the Institute of Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji, on Wednesday.The programme, organised by the Institute of Menezes Braganza, celebrates the literary legacy of Vaman Sardesai through music. Abhijit Sanz features renditions of his poems, blending patriotism and Goan cultural ethos.Inaugurating the event, Libia Lobo Sardesai paid tribute to Vaman Sardesai’s contribution to Goa’s freedom struggle and literature. “His words continue to inspire generations. This musical presentation keeps his spirit alive,” she said.The event drew literature lovers, freedom fighters’ families, and members of the cultural fraternity. Officials of IMB said the institute aims to promote works of Goan freedom fighters through art and music.Late Padma Shri Vaman Sardesai was a noted poet, writer, and freedom fighter whose works captured Goa’s liberation struggle and social consciousness.
