CM Sawant greets Femina Miss India World 2026 Sadhvi Sail on her achievement of winning the Miss India World title.
PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Friday met Ms. Sadhvi Sail, Femina Miss India World 2026, at his official residence, Mahalaxmi, Altinho. The courtesy call comes days after Sail was crowned, bringing national attention to Goa. During the meeting, the Chief Minister congratulated Sail on her achievement and lauded her for representing Goa on a global platform. He said her win is an inspiration for Goan youth, especially young women, to pursue excellence in fashion beyond academics and sports.
Sail, a native of Goa, thanked the Chief Minister for his encouragement and discussed her upcoming journey to represent India at the Miss World pageant
Dr. Sawant assured state support for her initiatives and said the government is keen to collaborate with youth icons to promote Goa’s heritage, sustainable tourism, and social causes. He added that Sail’s success aligns with the state’s vision of “Swayampurna Goa” by showcasing local talent on the world stage. The meeting concluded with the Chief Minister presenting Sail with a traditional Goan memento.
