Youth Congress Turns BJP’s ‘Selfie with Project’ Drive into Exposé of Stalled Works

The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress (GPYC) stated that it actively participated in the BJP Yuva Morcha’s “Selfie with Project” competition, not to endorse it, but to expose the stark reality on the ground.

While the ruling government attempted to showcase so-called “completed projects” under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, GPYC office bearers travelled across Goa and captured the truth—highlighting multiple incomplete, delayed, and poorly executed projects. Through these selfies, GPYC has brought to light the misuse of taxpayers’ money and the government’s failure to deliver basic infrastructure.

In addition to unfinished roads and stalled public works, GPYC also highlighted the alarming issue of garbage being dumped along roadsides and in public spaces across several parts of Goa. The unchecked dumping of waste not only reflects poor governance but also poses serious health and environmental risks to citizens.

From neglected infrastructure to unsanitary conditions, the ground reality stands in sharp contrast to the government’s claims of development. These are not isolated incidents, but a pattern of inefficiency and lack of accountability that directly impacts the daily lives of Goans.

GPYC strongly asserts that governance cannot be reduced to social media campaigns and competitions. The people of Goa deserve transparency, clean surroundings, quality infrastructure, and responsible utilization of public funds.
