Sanguem Rural Survey Set in Motion: Charge Officer Sidharth Prabhu Distributes Kits to Field Staff
Sanguem: Setting the stage for the upcoming enumeration exercise in the hinterland, Shri Sidharth Prabhu, Charge Officer, on Friday distributed official kits to Supervisors and Enumerators appointed for the Sanguem Rural Area. The distribution, held as part of pre-field preparations, marks a key milestone in ensuring systematic and accurate data collection across the taluka’s villages, hamlets, and remote settlements. The kits handed over to the field teams include survey schedules, identity cards, ward/block maps, stationery, procedural manuals, and other material required for verification and recording of information at the household level.
Addressing the assembled Supervisors and Enumerators,Prabhu underlined the critical role of field staff in maintaining data quality and timelines. He directed Supervisors to ensure thorough understanding of guidelines among their teams and to conduct regular monitoring, while Enumerators were briefed on courteous public interaction, confidentiality, and error-free entries. Officials said the advance distribution of kits will help teams plan their routes, coordinate with local Panchayats, and address coverage gaps in hard-to-reach areas.
Each Supervisor will oversee a set of Enumerators with clearly demarcated blocks to prevent duplication or omission. The administration has appealed to residents of Sanguem to cooperate with field staff and provide accurate details when approached, noting that reliable data directly impacts planning of welfare schemes, infrastructure, and services.
