Mapusa fire services averts major Grass Inferno near chapel at Guirim

Mapusa, – A blaze erupted near Our Lady of Assumption Chapel in Guirim, Mapusa, at 11:11 HRS on sunday engulfing dry grass and leaves in a frantic dance of flames. Firefighters from Mapusa, led by P.Y. Shetgaonkar, swiftly contained the inferno, preventing damage to nearby structures. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
