Goa Showcases Its Charm to Uzbek Travel Agents in FAM Tour
The Goa Department of Tourism hosted a Familiarization (FAM) Tour for leading travel agents from Uzbekistan, giving them a first-hand experience of the state’s diverse offerings beyond beaches. The initiative aims to tap into the growing Central Asian outbound market and position Goa as a year-round destination.
The move is part of Goa Tourism’s strategy to diversify source markets and promote niche segments like MICE, wellness, spiritual, and hinterland tourism. The Uzbek agents appreciated Goa’s safety, connectivity, and mix of leisure + culture, indicating strong potential for direct leisure packages and charter connections in upcoming seasons.
