Goa CM hails passage of Jan Vishwas Bill; says it will boost ease of living
PANAJI: (Apr 3) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday welcomed the passage of the Jan Vishwas Bill, 2026, in Parliament, describing it as a major reform that will boost ‘ease of living’ and ‘ease of doing business’.
In a post on a social media platform, Sawant said the legislation was a “transformative step” towards building a more trust-based and citizen-centric governance framework.
Parliament on Thursday passed the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2026, to amend 784 provisions in 79 central laws for decriminalising and rationalising minor offences to further improve the business environment and check harassment of people.
