Calangute & Baga Beaches Get a Sparkling New Look
Calangute: In a bid to boost cleanliness and maintain the pristine beauty of the popular tourist spots, the Director of Tourism has handed over the responsibility of cleaning Calangute Beach and Baga Beach to Village Panchayat Calangute.
As part of the initiative, dedicated teams comprising a supervisor and two workers will ensure regular maintenance and cleanliness at each site. Speaking on the development, officials said this move marks a significant step towards maintaining the beauty and hygiene of the state’s most visited beaches
Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira and Ward Members of Village Panchayat Calangute deserve appreciation for taking this proactive step towards a cleaner Calangute.
The Panchayat has appealed to citizens, visitors, and tourists to join hands in keeping the beaches clean and respecting the environment.
The Panchayat also plans to organise small programs and activities on weekends at Calangute Beach, aiming to create a lively atmosphere for locals and tourists alike.
