62-Year-Old Man Held for Molesting 2 Girls at Margao Store, Police Act Swiftly”

According to police,  their mother was busy at the cash counter settling the bills. The senior citizen allegedly molested her children.

The incident of molestation involving an old man came to light after both the children revealed it to their mother. The mother rushed to the police station in Fatorda and narrated the incident.and lodged a complaint against the person.

The alleged accused was a resident from  Ponda was identified and traced using Close Circuit Television footage from the store and subsequently taken him into custody and then produced him before the court and the court remanded him to three days police custody.

The police investigating the case has registered the case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Goa Children’s Act.
