GFA super League: Sesa Football academy Hold Dempo to Goalless Draw
Thivim: Sesa FA and Dempo played out a tense 0-0 draw, with both teams cancelling each other out in a match defined by solid defending and missed opportunities played at the sirsaim ground.
The game began with a bang as Sesa FA announced their intent early, with a long-range shot from inside their own half forcing a brilliant reaction save from Dempo’s keeper Deep Sigh. The opening 15 minutes were a genuine contest of equals, with both teams creating half-chances but lacking the clinical touch to convert.
Dempo began to assert their dominance around the midway point of the first half, with Stenis Touthang’s strike grazing the outside of the post. The Sesa defence stood firm, however, and the half ended goalless.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Dempo retaining possession and constructing attacks with patience. The game’s most inviting moment came when Rahul Rodrigues delivered a teasing cross towards Murphy Fernandes, only for Sesa’s Russell Vaz to intercept with composure.
The final quarter saw three yellow cards handed out, with Aman Rajbhar, Sairon Albuquerque, and Velrose Dias all booked. Despite the increasing tension, neither team could find a breakthrough, and the match ended 0-0. A fair result, perhaps, given the chances created and the solid defending on display
