“Mapusa Residents Unite the Banner of ‘Togather for Mapusa’ to Restore Town’s Shattered Image”
MAPUSA — In a bid to revive the town’s fading glory A coalition of citizens has launched Together For Mapusa to address civic issues in Mapusa, pledging accountability, political independence, and reforms ahead of municipal elections.
“We’re pooling resources to fix what’s broken, but also to keep an eye on official promises,” said a member of the organization “If schemes are announced, we want to know where they are and why they’re delayed.”
Journalist Narayan Ratwad another well-known resident of Mapusa and member of the organisation , said “We formed this group to ask — what is the government doing? We hear plans every election, yet nothing is happening
North Goa district congress president Vijai Bhike added, “Our job is to pressure as much as to clean. If the municipality claims funds were spent, we’ll ask for proof and follow-ups.”
