Eight units were shut down, and 300 kg of suspected chemically ripened bananas were destroyed at Mapusa Sub Yard. The FDA’s recent surveillance drive in Bardez aimed to ensure food safety, targeting areas like Mapusa, Anjuna, Assagao, Arpora, and Calangute.
They inspected 20 food businesses, shutting down eight units for non-compliance. A significant seizure included 300 kg of bananas suspected to be chemically ripened, which were destroyed at Mapusa Sub Yard.
