“Sawant Unveils Ponda Library’s Revamped Glory”
Ponda, Goa – Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today inaugurated the renovated Municipal Library at Ponda Municipality, a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to boost educational infrastructure in the state. The library has been revamped under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2023-24 for Children and Adolescent’s Libraries and Digital Infrastructure.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Ponda Municipality Chairperson Shri. Virendra Dhavalikar, Chairman of Rajiv Kala Mandir Ponda Shri. Ritesh Naik, Secretary of Art and Culture Shri. Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS, Director of Art and Culture Shri. Vivek Naik, Managing Director of Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited Shri. Praveen Volvotkar, and others.
The programme was jointly organised by the Department of Art and Culture, Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited, and Ponda Municipal Council, with the aim of promoting reading and learning among children and adolescents.
