Sesa Technical School Achieves 100% Placement for Batch of 2023-25

95 students from the 2023–25 batch graduate from Sesa Technical School. STS has nurtured nearly 2,000 technically skilled youth since its inception in 1994

Sanquelim, Goa: Sesa Technical School (STS) , a flagship CSR initiative of Vedanta Sesa Goa, proudly celebrated the achievements of the graduating batch of 2023-25. A total of 95 students, including — girls, graduated from the batch with placements being achieved for ~100%. This was the 30th graduating batch from STS.

Mr. P.D. Ambatkar, Assistant Director – Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, graced and felicitated the graduating students of the 2023–25 during the Convocation Ceremony held at the STS campus in Sanquelim. The ceremony was attended by Ms. Leena Verenkar, Head CSR & SCDF, Vedanta Sesa Goa, Mr. Gajendra Alarnicar, Principal, STS, along with other faculty members.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. P.D. Ambatkar, Assistant Director, KVIC, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, said,“Congratulations to the graduating students of STS on this significant milestone. Technical education and vocational training are central to building a self-reliant India and strengthening the MSME ecosystem. Institutions like STS play a pivotal role in equipping youth with industry-relevant skills and foster entrepreneurship and employability. The collaboration through short-term skill programs reflects a shared commitment to enhancing grassroots technical capabilities. We at KVIC are committed to support small entrepreneurs by providing them with training, certification & financial support for students.”

The graduating cohort comprised students from Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic and Computer Operator Programming Assistant (COPA) trades. The academic toppers of the batch were Darshan Gurav (Machinist – 94.08%), Shidalli Suleman Inamdar (Instrument Mechanic – 92.75%), Vinayak Subhash Sawant (92.33%), Aniket Gopal Manik (Fitter – 92%) and Sanjana Fondekar (COPA – 91.83%). The graduating batch has also secured placement with companies such as Vedanta Sesa Goa, HUL, Nestle, Zydus Cadilla, Guala Closures Group, Unichem Laboratories, Colgate Palmolive, Sanofi, Commscope etc.

Additionally, students from the Electrician and Instrument Mechanic trades were awarded certificates for successfully completing a 15-day training programme in Mobile Repairing and Electrical Works under the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana, organised by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Government of India. The initiative aims to enable technically skilled individuals to establish small-scale enterprises with the support of KVIC, Government of India.

Established in 1994 on a reclaimed mine at Sanquelim, Sesa Technical School is affiliated with the ITI curriculum and caters primarily to youth from Goa’s rural and mining belts. The institution boasts a strong placement record, with reputed companies regularly recruiting from its talent pool. Beyond its core curriculum, STS provides industry exposure through plant visits, hands-on training and interview preparation support, ensuring holistic skill development
