“Sawant Sets Sights on Balanced Growth: Goa’s Rural Revival Gets a Boost”
Porvorim: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a detailed review meeting of 131 project proposals submitted under the Goa Gram Samruddhi Yojana (GGSY) of the Department of Rural Development. The comprehensive review was aimed at ensuring that the benefits of development reach every corner of Goa.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧:
1. Equitable Constituency Coverage Priority will be given to works recommended by MLAs from all 40 Assembly Constituencies, ensuring that at least one project is executed in every constituency under the scheme.
2. Enhanced Financial Support and provision of additional funds, over and above the existing ₹20 crore allocation, in the upcoming financial year to enable effective implementation of public infrastructure and community development works under GGSY.
