Margao, Feb 21: Collector and District Election Officer, South Goa District, Ms Egna Cleetus, IAS, handed over the Final Electoral Roll of Special Intensive Revision 2026 to representatives of recognized political parties at Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex, Margao. This milestone marks a significant step towards ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process in South Goa.
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise aimed to update the electoral rolls, addressing issues like absent, shifted, dead, or duplicate voters. With the final list published, voters can confirm their inclusion and file appeals within 30 days if needed ¹ ².
The electoral roll revision process involved publishing draft rolls on December 16, allowing claims and objections till January 15, and hearings for unmapped voters. The final rolls were initially slated for February 14 but were postponed to February 21 ¹ ².
