“Ankit Yadav Unveils North Goa’s Electoral Roll: 2.56L Women Voters Outnumber Men”
Panaji: Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, Collector & District Election Officer, North Goa District, convened a meeting on 21/02/2026 at 12.00 pm in the conference hall of the Collectorate North, with the representatives of recognized political parties and handed over the Final Electoral Roll for Special Intensive Revision 2026.
During the meeting the Collector informed the members that the Final Electoral Roll with respect to Special Intensive Revision 2026 and Electoral Roll of Special Summary Revision of the last part of the Electoral Roll relating to Service voters has been prepared and published today i.e. 21/02/2026. The total numbers of electors in the electoral roll for North Goa District are 4,98,284 of which 2,41,948 are Male voters and 2,56,336 are Female voters.
Further, if any party/elector is aggrieved by the decision of the ERO, then he/she can appeal to the District Election Officer/Collector under section 24 (a) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950. The second appeal under section 24 (b) against the decision of the first Appellate authority shall lie with the Chief Electoral Officer, in the manner prescribed under Rule 27 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960
