Sanguem: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a comprehensive review meeting on issues pertaining to Health Department in the presence of Health Minister Shri Vishwajit P RANE , Transport Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho, PWD Minister, Shri Digambar Kamat , Art and Culture Minister, Shri Ramesh Tawadkar, Social Welfare Minister, Shri Subhash Phal Dessai , Chief Secretary, Secretary (Health), Director of Health Services and senior government officials.

Key decisions and discussions focused on strengthening healthcare delivery across Goa:
– Starting services to enhance critical care capacity
– Upgradation of Emergency & Trauma Centres
– Onboarding Medical Officers along with additional nurses, MTS and technicians
– Onboarding Casualty Medical Officers to strengthen emergency response
– Strengthening Sub-District Hospitals by addressing existing gaps in manpower and infrastructure
– Senior officials to conduct site visits for immediate infrastructure upgrades
– Sub-District Hospital at Sanguem to be inaugurated soon
– New ambulances to be inducted into healthcare service
– Provision of office vehicles and essential equipment for medical officers
– Dialysis unit to be set up in the new facility at Sanguem
